May 18, 2008 - Human embryo genetically altered

MAY 14, 2008 - 60 years from the day on which the Jews were restored to their ancient, God-given homeland, Israel. Now, note well: In the Bible, the Word of God, a generation is either 40 or 60 years long. Jesus Christ said that 'THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS AWAY,' (Luke 21:32) referring to the generation that was alive when Israel was restored to the Jews. There is controversy over this, of course; some contend He referred to the day when Jerusalem was once more in Jewish hands. That happened 20 years later, in 1968. But it is worth noting that U.S. President George W. Bush is scheduled to visit Israel to celebrate the 60th anniversary on May 14th, and is reportedly considering convening a summit of Arab nations to discuss the division of Jerusalem, on May 17th/18th - scant days later...

and the Bible curses the nations that seek to divide Jerusalem.

"For already the secret power of wickedness is at work, secret only for the present until the Restrainer disappears from the scene. And then he will be revealed, that wicked man whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of His mouth, and annihilate by the radiance of His coming. But the coming of that wicked man is the work of Satan. It will be attended by all the powerful signs and miracles of the Lie, and all the deception that sinfulness can impose on those doomed to destruction. Destroyed they shall be, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT OPEN THEIR MINDS TO LOVE OF THE TRUTH, SO AS TO FIND SALVATION. Did you get that? Those who do not eagerly search out and obey the truth of Scripture will be given over to a spirit of deception AND DESTROYED! - but the TRUTH shall make you free.

I for one am eagerly awaiting the return of the Bridegroom for His Bride, for God's Word tells us when we see all these things happening, we are to know that our redemption is even at the door, the Fulness of the Gentiles has come (there's an article about this on http://rapturealert.com, if you're interested), the Rapture is upon us, and the seven-year Time of Jacob's Trouble is about to begin... and the Lord told us through Paul's epistle to the Thessalonians that we are not children of darkness, that we should be taken by surprise. (#22) Israel will exist as a nation in the latter days:
Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 to see this prophecy, which was fulfilled in 1948.

(#23) Israel's birth as a nation will have happened in one day:
Fulfilled on May 14, 1948 as seen in Isaiah 66:8: "Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once?"

(#24) Israel will be in possession of Jerusalem (has been since 1967):
This happened as a result of the Six-Day War in 1967. The capture of Jerusalem was critical from a prophetic standpoint as the Antichrist will someday enter a rebuilt Holy Temple that will be standing in Jerusalem at the midpoint of the Tribulation Period where he will declare himself to be God. This event, referred to by most as the abomination of desolation, is documented in Daniel 9:27 and Matthew 24:15.

(#25) Israel will be surrounded on every side by enemies:
Psalms 83:4: They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

(#26) The possession of Jerusalem will be the source of international conflict:
Is this happening today or what? It's a HUGE sign to us! Zechariah 12:3: And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

NOTE: Mike Evans of Jerusalem Prayer Team says, in an e-mail Action Alert dated April 28, 2008 and entitled 'Should President Bush organize a summit to divide Jerusalem?', the following, and I quote:
when President Bush comes to Israel for its 60th Anniversary in May, he has made the decision to mobilize Arab nations to come for a summit on the 17th & 18th of May.

The purpose of this summit is to move forward with the Annapolis Road Map, the plan that will force Israel to give up a large percentage of Judea and Samaria, which they call occupied territories, and divide the Holy City of Jerusalem. It is extremely humiliating to think this would be America’s way of honoring Israel’s 60th year of prophetic rebirth.

Note from Point #23 in Michael G. Mickey's Signs of His Coming above that Israel was established as a nation on MAY 14, 1948. Now, this is not a matter for fear, it's a call for urgent, determined prayer and fasting to seek the Lord's will and His purpose for your life, that you may OBEY his call to you..

(38) Aliyah will be taking place:
What is Aliyah? Aliyah is the Hebrew word used to describe the physical return of the Jewish people, the children of Israel, to their ancient Promised Land, Zion, from abroad.
In Scripture, God promised He would bring the Jews (descendants of Abraham) back to their Promised Land from all the nations of the world where He had scattered them! It is happening even as you read these words.
Ezekiel 36:24: For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(39.) There will be signs Earth's environment is in trouble:
Romans 8:21-23: Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body.

(40.) Technology will exist capable of tracking the world's population and their finances:
Revelation 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

(41.) The capability will exist for an army of 200 million soldiers to be formed:
In Revelation 9:16, John sees a specific number of soldiers/"horsemen" preparing for or entering into war: And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
Estimates of the total human population of Earth during Christ's day typically vary between 100 to 400 million people. In 2004, the CIA determined China has an estimated 208,143,352 in its population alone fit for military service. As of 2006, that number has risen to 281,240,272 men fit for military service.

"Some years ago, Japan witnessed a typical example of unexplained objects that appeared in the night skies. On 15 January 1975, a squadron of UFO-like objects, resembling a celestial string of pearls, soared silently through the evening skies over half the length of Japan. As government officials, police and thousands of citizens stared at the sky in wonder, from fifteen to twenty glowing objects, cruising in straight formation, flew over Japan inside a strange misty cloud. Further, they were sighted and reported in cities seven hundred miles apart in less than an hour.

"Hundreds of frantic telephone calls jammed switchboards of police stations and government installations as the spectacular formation sped south. 'All the callers reported seeing a huge cloud passing over the city. They said they saw strange objects inside the cloud moving in a straight line,' recalled Duty Officer Takeo Ohira. Were they planes? 'No,' said Hiroshi Mayazawa, 'because no planes or natural phenomena appeared on my radar. It was an exceptionally clear night. To me the whole thing is a mystery.'

"Professor Masatoshi Kitamura watched the dazzling display in the night sky from the control room of Tokyo's Meteorological Bureau station near the airport. He said, 'I was mystified. Nothing showed up on my radar. I reported my sighting to the airport control tower and they told me nothing showed on their radar either.'"
